Raising Beauties

Very Sweet Hello..

     I had a conversation about raising your children. It made me think about my children and the way I raised my daughters and my son. Well it's hard raising them alone. I mean they need that sense of being protected and feel safe and secure. To know their father is going to hold them if they are ever scared or anxious about anything they go through. I have protected them and kept them safe but I am not a man. They need a male, father figure to have that strong protective love for them. I looked at myself in how I raised my children. I over heard two ladies talking about how they raised their children. One lady said, "I didn't raise my daughters to be housewives, or I didn't raise them to be mothers." I was so blown away. It made me think long and hard. I asked my oldest daughter, she's 20 years old. What did I raise her to become. She looked puzzled and said, "Mom, you raised us to be good people and help each other." I guess I did a great  job. So I brought up the ladies conversation. She laughed and said, " We are all different. What's right to some people are just an inconvenience to others." 'You raised us to be cooks, because you wanted us to save money cooking at home. You raised us to open bank accounts, track our money. So we can manage our money better. You raised us to make our life better and be better people to our children when we do start a family." I was very fortunate to have children that listened and followed what was right for their lives. I just want to say, there is a reason behind my madness.
